YMCA Financial Assistance

The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County provides financial assistance that enables our association to offer our programs and services to all members of our community, regardless of their ability to pay our board approved fees. YMCA membership and program services are subsidized on a needs-based sliding scale, based on family size and income. Individual and corporate contributions, coupled with proceeds from the Annual Support Campaign, make financial assistance possible for people who need it most. Financial assistance offered is based on availability of funds, is easy and confidential.

The Y strives to make the Y programs and services more affordable for everyone, so that kids and adults can receive the educational, physical, and social benefits of our programs, while reducing the stress on adults juggling work and household responsibilities with the uncertainties of life. Through our financial assistance, qualifying families and individuals can receive a reduced rate on Y programs. Even if you don’t think you would qualify for assistance, we encourage you to apply.

How to apply for Financial Assistance:

I receive governmental assistance. (Recibo asistencia gubernamental.)

Do you receive any form of government assistance? This could be WFNJ/TANF or WFNJ/GA, Cash Aid SNAP, NJ Foster Parent/Kinship Care, NJ Family Care/Medicaid, NJ Child Care Subsidy, Free or Reduced Lunch Program, WIC.

Please download and complete a financial assistance application and provide a recent statement, current award letter, or other form of dated documentation showing you are currently an active participant in the program so we can expedite the financial assistance process. Do not submit an application through the online portal. Email a copy of your financial aid application and documentation to fa@ymcanj.org. Copies of Medicaid, NJSNAP cards, etc. are not proof of current participation and cannot be used to determine eligibility.
