The Y has been an outstanding program for me and my kids. I’m a single mother of three. I’m able to be at work on time. I’m able to stay late if I need to. My kids love the YMCA program. Sometimes they do not want to leave. They get to play with their friends after school. I recommend you donate to the YMCA program. Is a safe place for kids.

I am beyond thankful for the Y.” Displaced from her home with two young children and pregnant with her third child, Lateisha was struggling for the most basic of necessities including food, clothing, and childcare. While she tried to stabilize life day by day, YMCA Child Achievement staff stepped up with access to preschool and aftercare, and also food and clothing drives to support her family. “The Y provided a safe environment for my children and peace of mind at a very difficult time of my life. No matter the concern, the YMCA was always here to help lend a hand and make a positive difference in my life.

It’s imperative that my children attend before and after care to manage our work schedule. We’re always juggling and without it we just would not be able to make it. Thankfully it’s a very safe space. I’ve had a lot of good opportunities to continue to work which, without the program, it would not have been possible.

The teachers and aids have all been great. They have great communication. They’re always there for the kids. My kids have always spoke very highly of them. The program overall has been great. They’re very accommodating with everything. Food, timing, generosity, care – it’s all there.
