Congratulations to our volunteer, JARED KATZ, on being recognized by the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance at their 17th Annual Recognition Dinner
Jared is a very impactful young man! Jared has volunteered at the Y for many year’s with the Summer Literacy Program and Swim Multi Sport Camp. Studies have indicated that large percentages of urban youth fall behind during the Summer with regards to reading and literacy and as a result of this information and Jared’s interest in helping the Y and youth, he volunteered himself and many of his friends to join forces with the Y throughout the Summer to provide fun literacy opportunities to our youth. Jared loves working with kids and being a mentor and is someone that they can look up to–all while having fun! Jared said, “It’s great and rewarding to know that you are making a difference in someone else’s life and helping them grow as a person.”
Do you have a special talent? Would you like to make a difference in the life of a child?
Please consider becoming a YMCA Volunteer.
The YMCA is a mission driven volunteer based community organization that has been in existence for over 170 years. For over 120 years the YMCA of Western Monmouth County has been enriching the lives of countless families and individuals in Monmouth, Mercer and Middlesex counties. In order to continue to fulfill our mission, we need assistance from individuals in our community who believe in our mission and the character values of respect, caring, honesty and responsibility that we incorporate into programs that we teach.
There are many areas available within our organization, at any one of our branches: Freehold, Freehold Borough Community Center, Camp Topanemus, and Old Bridge, for volunteer opportunities. All of our committees and our Boards of Directors are made up of volunteers. Below is a list of the volunteer opportunities that are available.
