The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County is implementing an upgraded safety measure for the protection of children, members, staff, and guests of the Y.

Starting November 2023, all adults age 18 and older who enter a YMCA of Greater Monmouth County branch location in Freehold, Red Bank, and Old Bridge WILL BE ASKED FOR THEIR STATE OR GOVERNMENT PHOTO ID OR PASSPORT. Individuals without these forms of ID will be asked to share their name, DOB, and address. This information will be SCANNED through the Raptorware safety and national sex offender screening system. Used commonly by school and community facilities nationally, the Raptorware system can provide instant alerts on people who may jeopardize the safety of our Y. The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County’s position regarding sex offenders is a no-exception policy.

Active YMCA members will be required to update their profile once/annually. Guests and visitors without a Daxko profile will be required to provide their ID with each visit. In the event of a positive sex offender match after a screening, YMCA staff will follow a standard operating procedure for alerting the individual and denying access to the facility or the event.

Inquiries on all accepted forms of domestic and international IDs are welcome. Personal information provided will remain confidential. No data provided is shared with 3rd parties outside of the proprietary and encrypted Raptorware system.

At your next visit to the Y, please visit the Welcome Desk with your photo ID to update your profile. For swim team events, an e-mail will be shared to pre-register, saving time at the door.

Thank you for your understanding and support in enhancing our highest priority—the safety and well-being of our community, especially our youth.
