The Roberta Blaszczyk Memorial Swim Fund was founded in memory of a dedicated FOBY parent who has recently lost her battle with cancer.  Donations received will pay for all FOBY Swim Team fees and program costs for her daughter, Alex Blaszczyk.

Alex joined the FOBY Swim Team in 2016 and has always enjoyed the camaraderie with her team mates, swimming competitively at various meets, and the personable interactions with her coaches.  Although she participates in other activities in middle school,  Alex’s passion remains in the pool with her team.

Being a swim parent also requires dedication and hard work.  During her bout with chemotherapy treatments, Robbie would still fight fatigue and side effects to drive Alex to her practices four to five days a week.  No matter what pain she endured, Robbie would not let it stop her from helping Alex follow her avid love of this sport.

Our mission is to continue this work for Alex by making sure her family doesn’t have the financial burden during Alex’s high school years.  Let us all take up Robbie’s mantle and make sure that Alex will always have a place on our team.
