Dear YMCA of Greater Monmouth County Child Care Families,

Thank you for being a valued Child Care Family!  We care about you and want to support you and your family during this time.  To say that these times are unprecedented and confusing is an understatement. We, at the Y, will do whatever we can to lessen the burden for you, your children and our community as a whole.

We want you to know that we are here for you.  At this time, we will be holding all child care drafts until the Y’s Child Care programs reopen.

Our Y is also pleased to be able to bring some virtual programming to you during this time.  We will continue to share some fun activities and videos with you that we hope you will enjoy with your children.

We expect this to continue to be a dynamic situation, so we will provide frequent updates using our website, social media and email.  In the meantime we have put together the FAQs below to answer any immediate questions you may have.

We hope all is well with you and your families.  The staff that work with your children every day are looking forward to seeing you and your children again very soon.

The Y is pleased to get the green light from Governor Murphy for child care programs to open! We are working now in partnership with local health authorities, the CDC and Y-USA on ways our Y can ensure optimal health and wellness for our staff, children in our care and families.

We look forward to providing fun, enriching experiences that keep kids socially connected and active, with safety as our top priority. Please stay tuned for more information on approved YMCA child care locations, pricing, and registration options for enrichment at the Y!

YMCA of Greater Monmouth County locations have closed until further notice in response to the NJ State of Emergency in order to mitigate the spread of the virus and keep our community healthy.  Our Y Leadership team is continuing to monitor the pandemic and recommendations from local health departments and the CDC, and will reevaluate the status of the Y branches and programs on a weekly basis.

No. At this time, we are not aware of any members or staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19. Should this change we will inform all families.

A local cleaning company regularly cleans our Y branches, and during this closure will institute additional deep-cleaning measures, including a full sanitization based on CDC recommendations.

We will be putting all drafts on hold for now until our programs reopen.  For weeks not attended in March, your prepaid tuition will be applied towards a future month.

We will do our best to accommodate all families in holding space, however if you cancel the program completely we may not be able to hold space for your child.

No, this is against the YMCA’s child protection policy.

We will be bringing some of our offerings to members virtually on our Child Achievement Facebook page and our new Y-Kids At Home web page. Our Child Care Team will be providing fun and creative at-home curriculum suggestions and activities for our students and parents. We will do our best to bring the Y to you!
