Financial Assistance Program
The YMCA of Western Monmouth County participates in the YCares Financial Assistance Program that enables our association to offer our programs and services to all members of our community regardless of their ability to pay our board approved fees .Scholarships for membership and programs are granted to those who qualify and are based on a sliding scale fee schedule.This program is supported by funds raised at our Annual Golf Outing, Annual Black-tie Gala, Annual Support Campaign and donations received throughout the year.Applications for the YCares Financial Assistance Program are available in the Membership Department and by contacting the Directors of any of our branches.

The 89th Annual Black-tie Gala, “It’s A Shore Thing” was held on March 12, 2010 at Battleground Country Club honoring The Norkus Charitable Foundation with the 2010 Community Service Award. 184 guests filled the ballroom and danced till midnight to the music of Mission Dance. Major sponsors of the event were The Asbury Park Press,
Norkus Charitable Foundation, All Jersey Janitorial, CentraState Healthcare Services, Inc., Spence Provisions and Manning, Caliendo & Thomson.
We extend a sincere thank you to all who sold and purchased Super 50/50 raffle tickets.

Strong Kids Annual Support Campaign
Each year YMCAs across the country embark on an annual support campaign, the “Strong Kids Campaign”, to support the YCares Financial Assistance Program. To support this cause, the YMCA of Western Monmouth County has designated May as our “Month of Caring”.The funds raised through this campaign will enable us to continue to provide quality programs and services to those who cannot afford to pay our board approved fees through our YCares Financial Assistance Program.

The Y of Western Monmouth County 8th Annual Golf Outing will take place on Monday, October 4th at Battleground Country Club. Registration and Continental Breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. Team Scramble Format, Cost: $275 per player, Sponsor opportunities available – Don’t want to play golf or want to learn, Golf and Tennis lessons are also available.
